"Insert Coin TV desde Corea"

30.10.2010

http://insertcoinblog.com/2010/10/30/iesf-2010-grand-final-insert-coin-desde-corea/

Insert Coin TV blog:

26/10/2010

Fragster.de:

Headline: From Madrid to Korea

Teaser:
Arius went to Korea in last december to play at IeSF 2009. Right before the upcomming 2010-Event he is going through his memories to share his experiences behind the score boards with fragster.

Article:
It's november 10th 2009. The temperatures are falling, christmas is right around the corner – also in Madrid, where David has been studying for four years. He grew up in a very beautiful village called Cuenca in Spain - about two hours away from Madrid. It's 21:00 when the phone is ringing. Gelna, who is the chief of clan x6tence, is calling. He likes to know whether David has time in december. The answer is no. So from december 10th to 14th there is a tournament for which he received an invitation. David is hesitating as he retired two month ago. So he likes to know what kind of tournament it is. "It's the IeSF in Taebaek, south korea." Almost immediately the fire is back in David's eyes. Even though he is studying and he has to learn a lot, he agrees and likes to prepare the best he could to show some good results in Korea.

MaCk and Arius get acompanied by a TV-crew

Right at the next day David is going to the police – to get his passport. So far he hasn't been outside of spain, but this gonna change. Later on he gets to know that he's not the only one going to korea. He will be acompanied by Martin Alonso who is playing which his synonym MaCk for the french organisation netGen. Also the two get joined by two journalists for the spanish AXN Television channel and a manager. Since this november 10th David changes his name more and more to Arius – when he's playing. At some times later on he heard that Lucifron and VortiX have been invited first but both denied the invitation due to some exams.

"RotterdaM is talking too much and DeMusliM was drunk when the tournament started"

About a month later the student is back in spain eventhough his thoughts stayed in korea. David sat along the best players of the world when they had meals, they went to the club together and they met each other at the hotel floors during the breaks. He was very impressed by NightEnD with whom the 21 year old Student spoke a lot and who has been very friendly online already. The opposite has been RotterdaM who was talking too much and who didn't know when to stop it. Also DeMusliM was drunk in the morning, when the players met to join the shuttlebus to go to the location. But he has been very funny being drunk that early.

Moving from the ski area to the big city

As he has some nice experiences from last years event, arius was very happy to receive another inviation this year again. And as last year he is going with MaCk, a manager and two journalists of the spanish TV – and they gonna stay for 7 days in korea. So the spanish guy is very excited about the tournament and about the life in the 3rd biggest city in korea aswell. Last year they have been in Taebaek, a small village with just 50.000 habitans in the mountains. So you haven't had too much acitivies in your freetime.

This year it's supposed to change as the event takes place in Deague. The city has 2.5 million people living there and the most "miss korea"-winners grew up here. Also Arius has been active again. Every sunday he's playing for the german clan CoBbys in wc3cl and he's participating in every cup for which he has enough time. But gaming is not all for the student. To proove his love to his girlfriend, Arius gonna play with her initials during the whole tournament and therefore hopes for some support from spain.
